The Animal Services staff cares for and homes approximately 4,000 dogs, cats, horses, and livestock annually. We accept stray animals of all conditions and are proud of our no-kill live release rate of 95% in 2020, one of the highest in California for open intake shelters. Our Animal Services Center is also the only shelter facility in the South Bay that provides services for livestock.
